Key stages in the ULF story
CUT established in Deddeh, North Lebanon.
The Francophone Association for the Development of Higher Education (AFDES), a non-profit, secular, non-governmental organization based in Lyon, established the Centre Universitaire de Technologie in Deddeh, North Lebanon, as an institution for higher education seeking to advance technological knowhow in Lebanon.
CUT evolved into Universite Libano-Francaise.
With the academic support of its dedicated staff and affiliation with well-established French universities, CUT developed enough capacity to enter new academic areas and evolve into the Universite Libano-Francaise (ULF).
A growing legacy in North Lebanon.
Further rapid growth enabled ULF to establish a legacy in North Lebanon, constantly developing its infrastructure, facilities, human resources, and student base.
A renewed governance and leadership phase.
In 2023, ULF witnessed a new operational phase through the appointment of a new Board of Trustees focused on aligning ULF operations with the aspirations of its country and people.
A new leadership team was appointed.
A year later, a new leadership team was appointed and tasked with achieving the ULF vision and ensuring that ULF remains a key player on the Lebanese academic scene.
